As we all know, industrial brushes play a very important role in industrial manufacturing, such as polishing, grinding, cleaning, and dust prevention. However, when it comes to the classification and applications of industrial brushes, many friends may not know much about them. Today, I will introduce to you the classification and applications of industrial brushes. Interested friends can continue to read on.

Industrial Brush Strips

As mentioned earlier, in industrial manufacturing, the main functions of industrial brushes are fourfold: polishing, grinding, cleaning, and dust prevention. Therefore, based on the functions of industrial brushes, they can be divided into four major categories: polishing brushes, grinding brushes, cleaning brushes, and dust prevention brushes. The details are as follows:

  1. Polishing Brushes

As the name suggests, these are used for polishing the surface of objects, such as deburring and fine grinding. Depending on different needs or the objects being polished, the choice of brush bristles varies. For example, industrial polishing brushes made of steel wire are often used for rust and burr removal; while bronze wire is used for electroplating polishing on objects with high hardness like steel plates.

  1. Grinding Brushes

Generally, this type of industrial brush is less commonly used. After all, the grinding tools used in industrial grinding are mostly grinding wheels. However, if it is used for the fluffing process in the textile industry, grinding brushes are required, more specifically, brush rolls with silicon carbide abrasive filaments.

  1. Cleaning Brushes

Compared to grinding brushes, cleaning brushes are more widely used, such as in general industrial cleaning and dust removal, as well as in the deep processing of agricultural and sideline products like fruit and vegetable washing. Therefore, the bristle material of cleaning brushes, a type of industrial brush, requires high wear resistance, excellent corrosion and aging resistance, and high elasticity.

  1. Dust Prevention Brushes

Dust prevention brushes differ from the previous three types of industrial brushes in that they are mainly used to prevent dust from entering through gaps and contaminating products and equipment, such as being installed at the entrances and exits of doors, windows, industrial equipment, and other components. Therefore, the bristles of dust prevention brushes are generally made of materials with high elasticity, good surface smoothness, and anti-static properties.

In summary, the main classifications of industrial brushes are polishing brushes, grinding brushes, cleaning brushes, and dust prevention brushes. Each type has its own specific uses. For example, dust prevention brushes are often used for doors, cabinets, and other industrial equipment, while cleaning brushes are more commonly seen in general industrial cleaning and dust removal.
